Amanda Kludt is a journalist and media executive who currently leads Newsroom Projects & Initiatives at the New York Times, focusing on impactful storytelling, connecting the dots across a complex organization, and supporting newsroom ambitions.
Prior to the Times, she spent 16 years building Eater, one of America's largest and most influential food publications, into a juggernaut of powerful service, reporting, and entertainment. As editor-in-chief of Eater, she led her teams to win multiple National Magazine, James Beard, and Emmy Awards. As publisher, she expanded the brand's remit into television, books, podcasts, and products.
Kludt serves on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Magazine Editors as its immediate past president.
